Today my dad and I are in Portland but yesterday we had a fun time discovering the Seattle/ Tacoma area. We visited Puget Sound- and I'm in love, I can totally see myself going to school there and having tons of fun. The campus was gorgeous (so many trees), and the cold weather really wasn't that bad.

The city of Tacoma is really small and cute with a lot of antique shops, trendy restaurants, and adorable houses. My dad and I stopped at a southern style restaurant,
Southern Kitchen, we got fried chicken, okra, mac 'n cheese, candied yams, and a peach cobbler. It was my first time trying genuine southern food, and it was
so good. The people were so friendly and welcoming, as well.

We didn't really know what to do in Seattle, but my only request was to see the space needle. It was really cool, and the ride to the top gave me butterflies.
