Prom?

This year is my senior prom ( May 7th) and I am somewhat surprised I'm actually going. It was something I was slightly hesitant about because I didn't know how much I'd enjoy going to prom. But just the idea of putting on a nice dress, getting my hair done in a different way, picking out shoes/jewelry to match, and some makeup makes me all giddy and excited. I also realized that I don't really lose anything by going, because if I don't go this year I will never get another chance to go. And it seems to me that it is a somewhat important night, because it is a tradition (even if I don't have a date- I'll have my friends). And I don't ever want to regret not going and missing out on something. How many of you went to prom? Did you enjoy it? why or why not?
