My celebration of Halloween occurred Saturday and involved both getting muddy at a corn maze and getting dressed up for a party. It was a great night with tons of laughing, smiling, and a lot of chit chatting. Such a fun night, really the epitome (with my b.day of course) of my college experience thus far.

Birthday Suit

As an adult I plan to take things more seriously and get down to business. It's important I start thinking about the future, and my life plan. No more jokes, or kid stuff.

JUST KIDDING

Just cause I'm legal now doesn't mean the fun stops, in fact I think it's just getting started!! Today was such an incredible day and I have to say how lucky I am to have so many people who care about me. I wasn't expecting much for my birthday this year, but my new friends outdid themselves and my parents and friends back home showed me a lot of love from afar!

Letters to home {day 3}

August 21: apple

i have a bag full of fuji apples in my dorm refrigerator that my dad bought for me before they left last night. i have one at least once a day. super refreshing with the almost 90 degree weather here in Tacoma. Yum.

there are going to be two new additional posts to this blog starting from August 19th and hopefully continuing until the end of my freshmen year.

the first post will be a weekly letter to my friend just to describe the haps on my life, and recommend a book and/or song

the second will be a daily post that will include a photo of an object and a description of that object. 

the fun part is... my friend will be doing the same thing on her blog! so we'll take a picture of the same object but in different perspectives. 

Here is a calendar of what we are taking pictures of, we will take breaks depending on access to internet, or if we are both back home.

my dad asked my to start packing on monday... instead i painted my nails. it took a really long time.

outside lands {music}

i love spontaneous plans. what makes them better is when the work out.

while cruising through Golden Gate Park thursday, a friend and i saw people setting up for outside lands (a 3 day music festival). "wow, why didn't we get tickets again?" "i have no idea. but it's probably too late" "no, they are still selling them" "huh." later that night ... "do you wanna go to outside lands" "yeah sure lets do it, it seems worth it" It totally was.

yesterday (friday) was the first out of the three days of outside lands. my friend and i ended up seeing: MGMT, The Shins, Ellie Goulding, Collie Buddz, The Original Meters.

the plan for today: Muse, The Black Keys, Sia, and Ok Go. but from what i learned yesterday is that nothing goes as planned.

summer feels like...

i really hate to say it but... summer is coming to an end. i imagined this summer to be an eternal on, but looking back i split my summer into two parts: the first being the actual summer (may- late june) the second consisted of all work (late june - this friday). during that second block i feel that i kinda let the summer pass by me and didn't really stop to look around me and really enjoy my time at home. now summer has flown by and i've run out of time. but until my plane has landed in tacoma, summer isn't really over.

Sumer 2011 {Florence + The Machine}

Summer isn't really complete without an outdoor concert. And I've had tickets to see Florence for months and I could hardly wait. It was a super fun night filled with really good music. She was amazing live! She was just prancing around barefoot in head to toe Gucci.
