Midterms

People are stressing. I'm not too worried about much, except for my economics test on Wednesday. In fact I am writing this with time I don't have. I should be looking at graphs, memorizing equations, understanding price elasticities. I guess I don't have my priorities straight.

Jacket?Nordstroms; Sweater?Jcrew;Dress? Forever21;Tights? unknown;Boots?Hunter

French braided my hair the night before into two ponytails, then put the ponytails into little buns on the back of my head. Makes getting ready in the morning super easy and means I get a little more time to sleep!

Seeing Polka Dots

Cardigan: Urban Oufitters; Shirt: StyleMint; Jeans: BDG; Belt: Forever21; Shoes: Gifted Coach; Scarf: Gifted H&M; Earrings: Gifted Urban Outfitters; Bracelet: Street Vendor in Hawaii
Halloween is near (alright October just started), but I did some decorating and it makes me so happy to look at the little stick-ons!

This is a special week {the first week of October is always super special). Why? Well 1. it is October, the best month; and 2. It's also birthday week in my family: Tomorrow is my mom's b.day, then my uncles and finally on Thursday it's mine! I for some reason feel that my birthday celebration is a whole week, cause my parents and friends make me feel so special. But this year {18th birthday} I will be celebrating without them and with the new friends I've made here! So during the week I like to look nice, which in turn makes me special amid all of the sweatpants, UGGs, t-shirts, etc. that are found all around campus.

In 10 Minutes or Less

Shirt and Headband: Urban Outfitters; Shorts: Forever21; Necklace: Gifted c/o Sway; Shoes: H&M; Earrings: gifted Macy's

A little something I found in the library: Hey! I see you sitting there studying hard! Just FYI you are amazing and all your hard work will pay off! Good Luck & Rock that test tomorrow!
This look came together in 10 minutes or less. I was at the gym and I lost track of time so I had to rush to get dressed for work. I didn't have any time to do straighten my hair so I went for braids, usually my go to look when I don't have a clue what to do. What's your go to look?

Working Hard or Hardly working?

Yesterday was one of those days where everything was going right and then somewhere it took a turn for the worst and it just changed your entire mood. It was silly to be so upset yesterday over losing my school id (aka my money, and entry into my dorm), and then the whole day was seen through gloomy eyes. The weather was really nice: sunny but not hot.
Jacket: Thrifted Gap; Striped Long Sleeve: Urban Outfitters; Black Jeans: Urban Outfitters; Shoes: Sperry

These guys are amazing, they make me feel so happy!
View outside my window yesterday! Mt. Rainer is so beautiful and it's awesome that I get to see it every clear day.

Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head {or so I thought}

Jacket: Nordstroms; V-Neck Sweater: Gap; Skirt: Urban Outfitters; Tights: Gifted; Boots: Hunter; Necklace Forever21

When I got dressed this morning it was foggy, and rainy. So I dressed accordingly, but as I write this the sun is coming out. -_- Are you serious? Now I look like a weirdy dressed all wintery when it is all sunny. I'm going to beg the weather gods to make it cold, and dreary again- for my sake anyways. Sorry people who want it to be warm, not gonna happen while I'm dressed like this.

In the Trenches

Trench Coat: Gap; Striped shirt: Gap; Jeggings: Nordstroms; Gifted Boots: Steve Madden

The weather is on/off rain/drizzle, which to be honest I was excited for because I wanted to show off my rain boots!  I feel a little Parisian with my trench coat, and stripes, which is always a good thing. And now that I've got the wardrobe part down, I've got to work on my smoking and my laissez-faire attitude. That should be a piece of cake? Non?
Stripes are a staple in my book

Special bracelets: the first is a custom designed bracelet that I bought for my two other friends, the second is a friendship bracelet I made this summer (I made it connect to a chain- my inspiration here), and a symbolic bracelet someone in my orientation group made for me

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Celebrating Friday!

Blazer: Urban Outfitters; Tank: Forever21; Shorts/Earrings: Macy's Shoes: Sperry; Nail polish: Essie's Aruba Blue

It's been hot, and humid in Washington so it's been putting me into a wardrobe funk. But I woke up yesterday feeling positive and excited ( I mean it was Friday). And Friday's are usually Casual Friday (sweats/leggings, t's) but I thought why not celebrate the beginning of the weekend! I wore this to class, work, and lunch. Dressing up made me feel so much better, I'll be putting way more effort into my outfits from now on.

Daily Outfit: Preview Of Spring

After the really cold weather we've been having in the Bay (think 40 degrees) the Sun has come out and given us 60 degree weather!! So exciting! It was also weird to see the seasons slowly transition (although I'm sure Winter isn't official over), over the long weekend it was especially nice to see some Sun.

When:
January 19, 2011
Where:
School and San Francisco Academy of Sciences
What:
Striped Vest from Gap
Black BDG Shirt from Urban Outfitters
Levis Jeggings c/o Urban Outfitters
Gifted Red Toms
Gifted Glasses
Custom Made Bracelet from Spiffing Jewelry

Yesterday was a rather nice day, although as I tried to explain to my friend it was a little hazy. I don't know what that means but it felt like I was in a dream. Weird! I also had a lot of time to do some inner soul searching at the Academy of Sciences being on the Living Roof was really nice and relaxing. It was especially necessary because I have been having panic attacks in the middle of the night- try waking up to a pounding heart and an achy chest (almost like an elephant sitting on you) not pleasant at all. So I am looking at my life and trying to relax and find out what is making me so anxious and not happy. Not only that but I think I will try to find some time for some late night yoga and meditation.
I have waited for these for so long- my mom kept ordering them in the wrong size!

A Friendship Bracelet with my 2 Best Friends that says "Friends Since 1998"

That's my dog Ricky!

After Christmas Shopping

Me:
Gifted Steve Madden Boots, Old Navy Leggings, Gifted Ring, Borrowed Necklace, BDG T-Shirt, Gifted byCorpus Chambray Shirt, Bag c/o Urban Outfitters

The day after Christmas my Mom, Sister, and I decided to do a little shopping seeing as the prices were incredibly low! We had a fun time, which included my Mom getting into an argument with two Hollister employees, eating Patix's Pizza, scoring a great deal on jeans, and heading over to watch The King's Speech. I also visited my friend who just had jaw surgery and can't really talk. It was awfully difficult not to laugh with her because her mouth is rubber banded shut. It was a great way to end the Christmas Celebration! But the festivities aren't over get ready for New Years!
 Sister:
Boots c/o A'GACI, Cardigan c/o H&M, Gifted Jeans, Gifted Set of 3 Rings, Gifted Striped Shirt Hollister, Bag Forever21, Scarf Forlove 21
ps: I finally got rain boots (seen above)!

Daily Outfit: Inspector Clouseau

When:
November 29, 2010
Where:
School
What:
Thrifted Gap Jacket
White Blouse from Gap
BDG Jeans c/o Urban Outfitters
Gifted Sandals (not seen)

I hate taking mirror pics but my sister was unavailable to take my picture- so I did it the middle school way. I have been craving a camel/ inspector coat, lucky for me, my mom just got one in her possession from a friend. I saw it about to be given away yet again, until I swiped it! I was ecstatic, knowing how great it would be during the coming winter months. Can't wait to wear it again! I also wanted to show off my nails- just got them done after more than a month. I put in an earlier post a dark cranberry color that I wanted to try- so I beelined for this one when I saw it- only problem is I have no idea what the name of the polish is! So frustrating, I checked on the bottom and it was ripped off! So the search for the mystery polish begins...

I Got Myself Some Cheetah/Leopard

I posted not too long ago that cheetah is a great addition to any wardrobe, so I'm slowly working my way up to a faux cheetah coat (just kidding, I think). But I did buy a cheetah print bow headband and I literally haven't stopped wearing it around the house.

October 20, 2010

October 20, 2010
1. Topshop Knitted Boyfriend Cardigan
2. BDG Feathered Fedora
3. Nordstrom's Red Ked Sneakers
4. American Eagle Outfitters Skinny Jean
5. Madewell Sequin Tee
6. UrbanOutfitters Sparkling Studs

As any good San Franciscan I am watching the NLCS game 3 Giants vs. Phillies, and emotions are funning high. The city has been filled with nippy weather and  pride and spirit that can only be seen with the World Series right around the corner.  All around school you see boys with orange and black ties, shirts, hats. And girls with their Giants gear, including moi. Let's Go Giants!
On another note, my school has announced this years DEALL activities, and my top three choices include:
1. Backpacking in the Lost Coast
2. Habitat for Humanity - Gulf Coast
3. Kayaking
Freshmen year I went to Quebec, for an exchange. Sophomore year I took a cake baking class. Junior year I went to Costa Rica to study Leatherback turtles.

100 Percent UrbanOutfitters

Gifted BDG Sherpa Coat, Gifted Striped Crop Top, Black BDG Ankle Cigarette Jeans, Sandals
I usually like to follow the rule, "don't put all your eggs in one basket", translated to, don't give all your money to one store. But for me this is nearly impossible, since I heard of UrbanOutfitters in 2007, it is my go to store. My friends and I can't seem to get enough of it. Often we find ourselves thinking, "Oh my God, there better be an UrbanOutfitters near this college, or else..."  Alas, we cannot stop checking their website (more than once a day, or caught shopping online in class) or going to their stores (more than once a week).
