You're looking at a High School Graduate!!!

I graduated high school last night and I was surrounded by tons of love ones. I was scared out of my mind about falling on stage or my hat falling off- but it went very well. I was able to take so many pictures, and have an amazing dinner at the Tonga Room. I celebrated with my parents, sister, cousin, aunt, best friend (and her parents), other best friend (parents, grandma, and aunt/uncle). It was the perfect place to celebrate because it was such a fun environment with a live band (playing some tropical tunes). It made me want to travel to an unknown tropical destination (also known as Hawaii).  I am about to kill it with pictures (sorry)

This is not the end, this is only the beginning. Thank you to my family and friends, this moment couldn't have been achieved with their support.

Pretty Please with a Strawberry on Top?

My dad surprised us with some Mitchell's New York Cherry Ice Cream! i took it upon myself to make sundaes, although we were short some ingredients, it turned out really good. i got out the fancy glasses, cut strawberries and layered them on the bottom of the glass. i put the cherry ice cream on top and garnished it with cut strawberries. i didn't think i would like cherry ice cream, but it is from Mitchell's so i guess thats alright. Yum!

1/3/11

I hope you all started the New Year right and had tons of fun with the ones you loved. I had a great and low key New Years Eve: Dinner with my family and video gaming with my little sister. The first day of January I got to spend opening be-lated Christmas gifts with my best friends (eating homemade Chex Mix- unlike anything I've ever had), working out, playing board games (Taboo, and Payday), and laughing- a lot. I finished the weekend off with a late brunch with my mom and then an hour of ice skating at the Embarcadero (which was beyond freezing- despite all my layers).
I used to think Winter Break was a whole month, but I've come to realize that in fact it is only two weeks. Sure those two weeks were amazing but do I really have to start school so soon? I don't even remember what it is like to be in school: what is homework? Do I really have to listen to this person lecture for over an hour? They should give us a little while to adjust before we dive right into school again. School starts Wednesday for me and I can't really say I'm that thrilled to go back. But it does bring me one step closer to graduating!
Happy New Years from my family to yours!

My Year In Pictures

It's always fun to look at old pictures of the people and events that make huge impacts on your life. This coming year is going to be a biggie- high school graduation, college (which means seeing my family and best friends even less), turning 18 (I will sure miss being 17). So I decided to look back at the year that was 2010. I did a lot of fun and amazing things this year. I went to Costa Rica to study Leatherback Turtles, I finally went to New York/Boston/Ohio, went to Squaw Valley, went to see Shakira in concert, saw (on my TV) the Giants win the World Series, watched The World Cup, saw two beached whales, got bangs, got a Holga, started this lovely Blog, and more. All this could not have been possible without the love and support from my Mom, Dad, Sister, Tia Chilo, Nicole, and Justine. Here are some highlights of my year:
Squaw Valley, My Cousin turns 19, Costa Rica
I Started my Blog: Peachy Keen, My Baby Sister becomes a Pre-Teen, Giants Game, Too Fast For Love Tour, Fourth of July!

August: Somarriba's take the East (Boston and NY), Best Friend turns 17, The Last First Day of High School

SF Has a Heat Wave, We Win the World Series, I turn 17, Beached Whale, Shakira

Halloween as a Kitty, Thanksgiving Cupcakes, Bangs, Christmas
Happy New Years! I hope everyone has a special and fun New Years Eve celebrating the year behind us and the coming year. I wish everyone a healthy and happy New Year- I also hope that all your New Years Resolutions come true!
