Youth

The other day my dad called me old. What? I am only 17, not even 17 and a half! In today's day and age it's no big deal to get a little work done, but I am a strong believer that we shouldn't frown on aging. I think Daniel from Ps~ I Love You  said it best,

"We're so arrogant, aren't we? So afraid of age, we do everything we can to prevent it. We don't realize what a privilege it is to grow old with someone. Someone who doesn't drive you to commit murder or doesn't humiliate you beyond repair."

Some people never have the chance to experience the pleasure that comes with age (not that I am an expert). As you age you learn things, experience more things, have the opportunity to love, to become successful, and hopefully become the person you've always wanted to be or feel comfortable with the person you've always been. Just because you are physically becoming older doesn't mean you have to let go of all your childish ways. You decide how you live your life,

"There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age."
~Sophia Loren

Don't shy away from growing old, there is just as much beauty in age as there is in youth. And no matter your age do the things you love, because you only regret the things you didn't do.
