i've been in Tacoma for 23 days now. sometimes i feel so happy to be here and other times i could curl up to a ball and wish i were back home. but each day is another chance to make things better. in the mornings all i think about is making sure to make this day count, making sure i go in with a positive attitude. "it may be raining hard now, but it can't rain forever."
i am really hopeful of my french class, i think i am taking it more seriously now and cannot wait until i can have a conversation with a native french speaker!! i bought these really cool post cards (seen above) that i can't wait to write a letter to someone, anyone. i also realize that if i could have any super power right now, it would be to speed read (but making sure i understood what i read). i have so much weekly reading it's nuts, i hardly have time to read free-time books. well as usual i miss you, and i cannot wait for you to join me in college life.
